Horror Film Script: "Snowy Trail"

Prologue
Night falls. The camera slowly zooms in on an abandoned village buried in snow in the middle of the mountains. The wind howls eerily. Strange tracks are visible near a half-ruined bell tower – hoofprints, but massive in size. In the distance, a terrifying roar echoes, mingling with a human scream. The camera pans up to reveal a star-filled sky.

Act 1: The Group Sets Out
Five friends – experienced mountaineers (Sergey, Anna, Dmitry, Olga, and their guide Alexei) – embark on a journey to conquer a remote mountain. Local villagers warn them to stay out of the forest and not to summit the peak at night. According to legend, the area is home to “snow hunters” – creatures with the bodies of centaurs who protect their territory. The group dismisses these warnings as superstition and continues their trek.

Act 2: Snowstorm and Discovery
A sudden snowstorm forces the group to set up camp in the forest. Alexei notices strange tracks near the campsite but says nothing to avoid alarming the others. The next morning, Dmitry discovers a frozen corpse with its heart ripped out. Panicking, the group decides to turn back, but a thick fog envelops the forest, disorienting them.

That evening, they spot massive silhouettes in the trees – half-human, half-beast figures with icy armor covering their bodies. Their eyes glow an eerie blue. These are the centaurs, and they won’t let the group escape.

Act 3: The Village and the Snow Monsters
The group stumbles upon an abandoned village while fleeing. There, they find an old hunter’s journal. The entries reveal that the villagers once worshipped the centaurs, offering sacrifices to survive the harsh winters. But when the villagers rebelled, they cursed the snow guardians, making them even more bloodthirsty. The centaurs then summoned allies: snow monsters – living snowmen who act as their nocturnal sentinels.

That night, the snow monsters attack the group. They move silently, their hands sharp icy claws that tear through flesh.

Act 4: The Final Struggle
The group realizes that the centaurs and their snow monsters see them as intruders. Olga sacrifices herself to distract the creatures while the others search for an escape route. Dmitry finds a map of the village showing a hidden tunnel that leads out of the forest.

In the final battle, Sergey and Alexei confront the centaur leader – a towering creature with a golden helmet and an icy spear. Their odds are slim, but they use burning torches to keep the monsters at bay.

Ending
Only Anna survives and escapes the forest. However, in the final scene, as she walks across the snowy plains, a centaur appears on the horizon, silently watching her.

The screen fades to black with the words: "Some legends are real…"

The film leaves viewers with the unsettling sense that the evil remains and the hunt continues.
